Hello everyone, I hope you are well and enjoyed the long weekend. Just a few quick updates…
Activities and experiences
After everyone has had snack, we have a calendar full of planned activities to ensure your child gets the most out of their sessions at Budeez. The children have explored themes such as spring, minibeasts, under the sea, planets and May Day and you are welcome to pop in and look at the noticeboards where some of their artwork is displayed. The construction toys are popular at the moment and there is usually a hair dressing salon or baby area where the children play with the big dolls.
Children are welcome to do some homework at the table if they want to get it done before going home – and there are always staff available to help.
We have been informed about:
– Chicken pox among the little ones
– Scarlet fever in Knutsford schools
– Head lice
Please keep an eye out for any symptoms and let us know if your child is off ill.
Invoicing and payments
I try to keep on top of payments every month but life sometimes gets in the way so I will email each family individually with a full breakdown of your accounts so we can balance them towards the end of the academic year.
Tax free childcare
Tax free childcare gives parents 20% back on all childcare payments and is administered by HMRC. It has been introduced to eventually replace the voucher companies – but vouchers are still running at the moment.
If you currently pay Budeez or other childcare providers by bank / bacs payment you might find it useful to sign up to tax free childcare – but do check you will be better off if you also receive other benefits because it affects them. Tax free childcare is available to everyone including self-employed parents.
You can find more information about the Government’s tax free childcare scheme here – https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare.
Informing us about absences
To enable me to rota staff effectively I need to know, as well in advance as possible, if your child is taking a day or session off please. You can contact me by phone – 07834 208195 or by email – firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will continue to be as flexible as possible if your child is taking a day or session off or if you need to book extra ad-hoc sessions. There seem to be a lot of changes at Egerton just now so please keep us updated.
In view of the changeable weather at the moment please send your child with a waterproof coat with a hood every day. If it’s one of the lightweight coats they can pop it in their bag if it’s sunny – but it’s there as we never quite know what will happen during the day.
The next holiday is at the end of May. Schools break up on Friday 24th May…
Bexton returns on Monday 3rd June and Egerton returns on Wednesday 5th June.
We hope everyone is well and the children are happy in club. If you have any questions or concerns please ask me.
