Our latest Ofsted visit
Budeez Out of School Club is registered with Ofsted. As the Club is under new ownership we are awaiting our first ‘new ownership’ Ofsted inspection which will be within 30 months of opening.
This is a summary of some of the comments on our recent (2016-17) Ofsted ‘outstanding’ graded report:
Staff go the extra mile to work in partnership with local schools and other agencies. They successfully work with schools to promote children’s social and emotional development. Staff provide exemplary help for families who want support at home.
Staff practice is outstanding. They are highly responsive to children’s learning and care needs. All staff interact with children superbly to enhance their daily experiences.
All parents receive regular updates on their children’s achievements at the club. Staff work tremendously hard to engage all parents in children’s experiences at the club. They meet with them throughout the year and give in-depth handovers at the end of the day.
Children are thoroughly prepared for transitions that occur, such as when they start attending the club. Staff facilitate for older children to ‘buddy’ with younger children. This helps younger children to settle quickly and for them to know they always have someone to play with.
Children’s behaviour is impeccable. Staff promote this through an effective reward system. Excellent behaviour is rewarded with ‘golden time’. Children choose a special activity to do with a friend. This includes trips, such as a visit to see the upcoming Christmas lights being switched on and going to view pumpkins at a local carving competition.
Performance management is highly effective. All staff work together to review their practice regularly. They have very high expectations and staff use these to challenge each other and build on the already excellent standards in the club.
Sarah Graven, the new owner, has owned and managed a successful childminding business for 20+ years and has undergone 3 outstanding inspections. You can be assured of a high quality experience at Budeez.

The transition to new ownership has been seamless and very little has changed. Parents and children will be greeted by the same staff – the Club rooms are bright and welcoming – the resources are well organised – meet and greet arrangements and menus are exactly the same.
